It has potential...

This beat is a bit too repetitive. Perhaps if you varied the kick pattern more and separated the song into a distinct structure. Also, some snare fills would do it some good. The snare should be louder and the claps should be quieter. The constant open hats on beats two and four also gets old fast, a steady hi hat pattern with occasional open hats would sound better. It also needs a bass line! Of course, this is all my opinion.

However, you do have some very good oriental riffs and ideas in there. If you take the time to clean this up a bit and add more variety, it would be excellent. Keep working on it.

Mellow, moody.

Very nice! It definitely sounds to me like it would be a loops playing during a menu in a video game. It's just got that feel to it. I also like how the drums are slightly muddy and muffled. If the drums were crisp, it wouldn't sound as good. The lead is very good too. My only critique would be to vary that rhythm perhaps a little bit. It gets ever so slightly repetitive. Other than that though, I think you did a great job!

Rainy Day Goodbyes.

That's the picture I get in my head from this. A scene in a movie where a goodbye is taking place, and it's raining, complimenting the sad emotions, but also the new beginnings that will take place in the person;s life.

It creates a great a mood, and I like it. I also enjoy the brief stint in the oriental scale starting at 40 seconds. That caught my ear.

My ONLY qualm is that I wish the storm in the background was a bit louder.

Overall, A+ man. I love it.

Thanks for the great review! :)

Interesting...

This one certainly makes me think, very mellow. I like it, and it certainly is a great ambient tune. The drum effects fit perfectly with the mood and feel of the song, wonderfully done mate.

Very well arranged.

Phenomenal, this song reminds me of Between the Buried and Me, especially with the solos. Great jon mate, wonderfully composed.

Not half bad at all!

I actually quite enjoyed this song of yours, a lot of energy. I admit it could use a little bit more diversity, it would help add to the length, but otherwise, great job mate :)

DJ-Draken responds:

Thanks a lot.
I realize the diversity is rather lacking and such. I hope to add some more in the future. My main concern was getting decent foundation for the song that sounded at least something like a hardcore-ish song. Now's the time to iron out the kinks and add colour.

Thanks for the feedback. =D

Beautiful.

I absolutely loved the change to major, that was a nice touch, great job sir. Can't wait to hear No. 2!

Great work...again, haha.

This is what it feels like to me, what I personally pictured when I close my eyes:

A couple years ago, it was predicted that the world was going to end, and there was nothing the human race could do about it. For a while there was a great panic among the human race, many terrible things happened. People had absolutely no idea how to react to the end of the world. Every single bit of life on earth would end, and there was no way to prevent it.
Finally, the eve of destruction has arrived. Now everyone found themselves calm now. They were ready. People all across the world began to leave their homes, walking along the grass, finding a good place to settle down for the last time, trying to find Seats to the End of the World. I sat on a blanket with my girlfriend at the top of the grassy hill about a hundred feet from my house. We both sat there, smiling as we stared up at the calamity that would be plunging into the atmosphere within the hour. It was the beginning of the end for all.
"What a view", I said, smiling at her.
"Yeah", she said, "It really is".

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

I'm glad it paints a picture for you; that it can take you somewhere else for its duration. I would imagine people would just join in to accept the end of the world together rather than a horrible panic.

Well done.

I absolutely love the breakbeat, and the bass sound holds true to the dark sound that is so sepcific to this genre. The change near the end is also very nice, not very expected, but it makes the song more dynamic. Nice touch, overall great work.

Excellent.

Wonderful instrumentation, I just wish I could understand the lyrics! :p

What did you use to make this?

Drums are my life! I'm an avid freerunner, and I also enjoy snowboarding and skating. I love watching flash movies and making songs on FL Studio.
